Meals served in St Francis

Meals are served in the old Roman Catholic Church building, or in your room. These meals are only available to guests staying at the Angler & Antelope. Should you want to book a function, this can be arranged for outside visitors, based on availability and advance bookings.

Please have a look at our menu for an idea of what is on offer.  Dinner is done by prior arrangement only, from Sunday to Friday. 

Pan fried trout – Pan fried trout fillet served with potato puree and baby peas.
Lamb shank – Succulent Karoo lamb shank cooked in red wine served with potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Beef Lasagne – Layers of pasta, minced beef & white sauce, served with salad.
Pasta with Tomato sauce – Pasta served with a homemade tomato sauce.
Vegan bowl - roasted butternut with chickpeas, seasonal greens and vegetables & an African dressing

Dessert

Jumble Berry Crumble – Mixed berry crumble pie served with vanilla ice cream.
Ice cream & chocolate sauce - the name says it all, but that homemade chocolate sauce...
Malva Pudding - South African classic, a sweet, spongy caramelized pudding, served with custard.
Chocolate Mousse - decadent dark chocolate mousse.

Please note the following important items:

  • Dinner is available by prior arrangement, and is only available to guests staying at the Angler and Antelope Guesthouse. Orders must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior your stay.
  • Dinner is served at 7 pm.
  • Menu items are a guideline only, of the types of meals that may be available on the day that you have booked a meal. Please let us know if you have a specific preference, and we'll see what we can do to make it happen.
  • The kitchen is closed on Saturday evenings.
  • Please note that we do not serve dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
